The Los Angeles Rams entered 2025 NFL Training Camp missing a vital piece to their offense. Sean McVay delivered a promising update on that past starter, though.

The Super Bowl winning head coach shared where things stand with Alaric Jackson, the standout left tackle dealing with blood clots. McVay provided an update via team reporter Stu Jackson on Thursday.

"Sean McVay also said he has seen the progress he's wanted to with OL Alaric Jackson (blood clots) so far," Jackson shared via X (formerly Twitter).

It's welcoming news for who's become a reliable starter. Jackson moved to left tackle to help offset the loss of franchise legend Andrew Whitworth. The Rams placed Jackson in the LT rotations during the 2022 season. Jackson since emerged as one of the team's best pass blockers.

Jackson even earned a huge paycheck for his efforts. He agreed to a three-year, $57 million deal during the offseason. But he started to fee the effect of blood clots during June -- which occurred while the Rams were in OTAs.

Los Angeles moved quick to fill LT depth. General manager Les Snead helped pull in veteran D.J. Humphries. The move also brought a former NFC West rival with the Arizona Cardinals over to L.A.

But Jackson is progressing better health wise. Which became one of two promising news from McVay. He also addressed the state of the DB room and the early ailments there via Jackson.

"Per Sean McVay, S Kam Curl will be week-to-week after having his ankle stepped on during Tuesday's practice. McVay said they were fortunate the outcome wasn't worse. McVay also said CB Emmanuel Forbes tweaked his hamstring, and it will 'probably a week or two' for him," Jackson shared.

The Rams are dealing with early bumps in the road to the 2025 season. But there's progression as McVay pointed out.
