While FC Barcelona’s summer transfer window has so far focused heavily on arrivals, outgoing transfers are also a key part of the club’s roadmap, keeping in mind the Financial Fair Play situation.
At least one major sale might be needed in the coming weeks for the club to be in a position to register their new signings.
Given the overbooking in the midfield department, reports earlier today claimed that Barcelona had decided to place Marc Casado on the market with a price tag of around €30 million.
Barcelona not actively pursuing midfield sales
However, as per the latest update from journalist Santi Ovalle on Cadena SER, Barcelona are not looking to actively push players out from their midfield department this summer.

While there is an acknowledgement that there is an overbooking in the middle of the park, manager Hansi Flick is happy with the situation given the long season.
Having three players per position in a demanding season is not a problem as far as the German tactician is concerned.
However, with an excess of midfielders, Barcelona are open to studying offers, particularly for players like Fermin Lopez and Marc Casado, who are not guaranteed regular minutes, if they request an exit.
The Blaugrana believe that players who are not receiving regular minutes might ask to leave the club, and as such, are not ruling out any departures.
But, what is clear as that they are not actively trying to force any midfielder out of the squad for financial reasons.
