Two teams have emerged as the top trade suitors for Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga this offseason.

The headline that has dominated the NBA offseason over the past few weeks is the future of Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga.
Kuminga is currently a restricted free agent and after falling out of Steve Kerr’s rotation last season, his role in Golden State is uncertain entering next season.
Because of this, many expect the young forward to leave Golden State this summer but there has been very few teams that have shown interest in him thus far.
While that may be the case, it was reported on Wednesday that Kuminga turned down a contract offer for the Warriors while two teams’ offers were revealed.

According to ESPN’s Marc J. Spears, the Phoenix Suns’ trade offer for Kuminga includes Royce O’Neal, Nick Richards and four second-round picks and they would then sign the young forward to a four-year, $90 million contract.

The Sacramento Kings were also a team mentioned on Wednesday as ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that they have offered Kuminga a four-year contract that will total around $90 million and also includes a player option.

For the Kings, it has also been reported that they offered the Warriors a trade package of Devin Carter, Dario Saric and a protected first-round pick.
While both of these offers are better than the one the Warriors offered Kuminga, it all depends on their trade offers and if Golden State is intrigued by them.
So far, the Warriors have shut down both the Kings and Suns’ trade offers due to their high asking price for Kuminga but if the young forward wants to leave this summer, they may be forced to accept one of them.
Either way, Kuminga now has a tough decision to make as he has three offers on the table from Sacramento, Phoenix and Golden State and it looks more likely that he will be leaving The Bay this offseason.
