The Phoenix Suns have been predicted to land a star player from the New York Knicks in an offseason blockbuster three-team trade.
Suns Predicted to Land Knicks’ Star in Blockbuster 3-Team Trade With Hawks originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Phoenix Suns have been one of the most active teams in the NBA this offseason as they have made major changes to their roster.
Phoenix began their offseason by trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets and they also bought out Bradley Beal’s contract, officially ending the big three era.
Of course, the Suns kept Devin Booker and also signed him to a massive two-year contract extension as he is set to be the centerpiece of their future.
The Suns have also made some notable additions to their roster through trades and the draft with Dillon Brooks, Jalen Green, Mark Williams and Khaman Maluach being the headliners.
It is clear that the Suns are trying to turn their franchise around after another disappointing season and Sports Illustrated’s Jackson Caudell and Rohan Raman recently released a mock trade that would land Phoenix a star from the New York Knicks.
In the trade, the Suns would acquire Karl-Anthony Towns and Pacome Dadiet from the Knicks for Brooks, Grayson Allen, Nick Richards, a 2032 first-round pick and three second-round picks.
New York would also send Tyler Kolek to the Atlanta Hawks who are the third team in this blockbuster mock trade.
This is an interesting trade for every team involved and one that is unlikely to happen as the Knicks have shown no interest in moving on from Towns this offseason.
Despite this, the Knicks have been focused on upgrading their depth heading into next season and swapping Towns for Allen, Brooks and Richards plus draft capital could be a solid move for them.
For the Suns, pairing Towns alongside Booker and Green would give them a new star trio, though Williams would be the odd man out after they acquired him from the Charlotte Hornets earlier this offseason.
While that may be the case, the Suns would finally fix their struggles at the center position while also adding another star player to their roster to help them turn their franchise around.
