Micah Parsons is ready to make a major move if his contract negotiations with the Cowboys fall apart.
It seems as if the Dallas Cowboys and their star linebacker Micah Parsons are at an impasse in their negotiations.
The star linebacker’s increasing frustration with Jerry Jones is now starting to spill out to social media, with Parsons posting a GIF with the caption “one last time” Thursday night.
Parson reportedly is ready to ask for a trade if he doesn’t get what he wants from the Cowboys.
The Athletic's Dianna Russini is reporting that Parsons is either going to request a trade or cut ties with the team permanently.
Parsons is nearing the end of his five-year rookie contract and is expecting a huge payday.
He wants to be the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL behind T.J. Wyatt, who just signed a big deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Parsons last talked about the stall negotiations about a week ago.
"I want to be here, I've always said I want to be here. But at the end of the day, they sign the checks like always. Let's see if they want me to be here."
But both Jerry and Stephen Jones seem unmoved by Parsons' actions and are sticking with their guns, but if anyone who follows the Cowboys knows this is how they handle negotiations.
They will drag this out to the very last minute until they sign him to a large contract. They did this with Dak Prescott before they signed him. The Cowboys may be leery of signing Parsons to a long-term contract because of injuries.
Right after they signed Prescott, he was injured and sat out several games last season. So, unless they get a really good trade offer, don’t expect Micah Parsons to go anywhere anytime soon.
