The Sacramento Kings are among two teams showing interest in a young forward from the Golden State Warriors after a new report released on Monday.

The Sacramento Kings have focused on upgrading their roster this offseason to chase a playoff spot in the Western Conference next season.
Of course, Sacramento missed the playoffs last season after being eliminated in the Play-In Tournament and after trading De’Aaron Fox at the trade deadline, many believed they would begin a rebuild this summer.
Instead, the Kings have made multiple additions to their roster this offseason, headlined by adding Dennis Schroder in free agency, but they may not be done adding players to their roster.
One player the Kings have been linked to is Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga and ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel released a report on Monday that has the Kings as one of two teams who are most likely suitors for the young forward this summer.
“The Sacramento Kings have been at the forefront of Kuminga free agency and sign-and-trade discussions since the start of the offseason,” Siegel wrote. “Now that the Kings are hard-capped at the first apron, their path to landing Kuminga has become a lot more challenging. However, Kuminga did meet with the Kings' brass recently, which is why the door is still slightly cracked open.”
The other team Siegel mentioned was the Chicago Bulls who he believes has an easier path to land Kuminga via a sign-and-trade from the Warriors this offseason, though the Kings could also make a compelling offer if they are willing to include players the Warriors covet from them.
Of course, it has been reported that Golden State turned down an offer from the Kings that included Devin Carter, Dario Saric and a protected first-round pick as they are instead interested in either Keegan Murray or Keon Ellis.
Sacramento has been unwilling to include either of those players in trade talks thus far and they would also have to find a new home for Malik Monk or DeMar DeRozan if they end up landing Kuminga this summer due to cap reasons.
Because of this, it appears as though the Kings will have a tough road to acquire Kuminga this summer though that could change if the Warriors become that desperate to move him with the lack of interest around the NBA.
