Yoane Wissa has returned to Brentford training amid interest from Newcastle United.
The 28-year-old left the club’s pre-season camp in Portugal last Tuesday and flew back to England to hold talks with director of football Phil Giles.
Wissa has made it clear he wants to join Newcastle, who had a £25 million bid rejected for the forward earlier this summer.
The DR Congo international had threatened to not play for Brentford again if he was not permitted to move to St James’ Park.
But Sky Sports report that Wissa has returned to training on Wednesday morning after the rest of the squad flew back from Portugal.
However, it is said the forward doesn’t intend to train with his team-mates as he is ‘angry’ and ‘disappointed’ with the club’s approach over his future.

Brentford have already sold Bryan Mbeumo, Christian Norgaard and Mark Flekken this summer. They are unwilling to lose another key player.
Wissa scored 20 goals and provided five assists in 39 appearances for the West London outfit last season.
He has one year left on his current deal, which means this summer represents Brentford’s last opportunity to collect a significant fee from his sale.
Callum Wilson has left Newcastle, and there is uncertainty over the future of Alexander Isak.
The Magpies are keen to sign Wissa, but they have also been linked with Benjamin Sesko. Thus, it remains to be seen whether they will return with another offer for the DR Congo international.
