Walid Cheddira's days at Napoli appear to be numbered. Despite being under contract with the Italian champions until June 2028, the Moroccan striker is once again on the verge of departure.
On loan at Espanyol Barcelona last season, the 27-year-old managed to score just once in 22 La Liga appearances—a record that did little to help his chances of staying in Spain.
Back in Italy, the Atlas Lion (6 caps) once again finds himself at a crossroads. A third loan move, following stints at Frosinone and Espanyol, is now under consideration.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the former Parma player has caught the eye of PAOK Thessaloniki. The Greek club is looking to seal the deal by submitting an official offer to Napoli's management.
The same source reports that talks are also underway between Napoli and Hellas Verona regarding the Loreto-born forward, giving him the choice between staying in Italy with a new club or heading to Greece for a fresh challenge.
