Air Force was grounded last season at 5-7, although they finished on a high note with four straight victories. The Falcons defeated the two worst teams in the Mountain West Conference, Nevada and San Diego State on the road to close the season, but it was a nice confidence boost.
The offense exploded late, scoring at least 28 points in three of the last four victories after getting limited to 13 points or fewer in five of their losses.
The Falcons showcase fullback Dylan Carson, who rushed for 602 yards and five touchdowns. Carson busted the 100-yard mark in three of the final four games, while four of his touchdowns came during that late winning streak.
Junior quarterback Josh Johnson wasn't a part of that four-game hot streak, as he completed 3-of-6 passes and threw two interceptions in a 20-3 loss to Army.
