The rise of Vaughn right now is pretty incredible.
Andrew Vaughn is, out of nowhere, living up to the hype.
This is a guy who was the No. 3 overall pick in 2019 out of Cal for the Chicago White Sox. But this is also a guy who, in five seasons at the MLB level with Chicago, had a negative Wins Above Replacement.
So what Vaughn is doing for the Milwaukee Brewers right now is truly hard to fathom. It's not that his pedigree didn't point to it. It's that there were 600-plus MLB games worth of suggestions that maybe Vaughn wasn't the player that he once appeared to be.
Since joining Milwaukee, though, Vaughn has done something only Barry Bonds has done before.
OptaStats shared these three stat thresholds for a player's first 10 home games with a team, and now, Bonds and Vaughn are the two players in MLB history to reach them:
- .475 batting average
- 1.000 slugging percentage
- 15 RBI
Specifically in this stretch, Vaughn is batting .484 at home with a 1.097 slugging and 19 RBI.

Overall in 14 games with the Brewers, Vaughn has four doubles, four homers and a .341 average. His one road stint wasn't great, but he certainly seems to like hitting in Milwaukee.
On Tuesday, Vaughn went 3-for-6 with six RBI. That included a grand slam.
The White Sox traded Vaughn to the Brewers for pitcher Aaron Civale in a prove-it deal. Vaughn, maybe against most expectations, has proved it.
He was batting .189 with the White Sox in 48 games.
He'll probably cool down a bit, but Vaughn already seems revitalized by joining a new club.
At 27 years old, Vaughn could still have a bright baseball future ahead of him. It appears the Brewers may have unlocked something in him that the White Sox never could.
