Best No. 39 in Steelers history: S Minkah Fitzpatrick
Minkah Fitzpatrick is the best Steeler to ever wear No. 39. Drafted by the Miami Dolphins with the 11th overall pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Fitzpatrick was quickly traded to Pittsburgh in 2019 and instantly became a driving force in the Steelers' secondary. Over his six seasons in the Steel City, he recorded 18 interceptions and returned three of them for touchdowns — tied for the third-most pick-sixes in franchise history. He was named to five Pro Bowls and earned three First-Team All-Pro selections during his time as a Steeler, as well as co-leading the NFL in interceptions in 2022. Despite returning to the team that drafted him, Fitzpatrick is the greatest Steeler ever to wear No. 39.
