In one inning against the Dodgers, the Reds equaled their home run output from the previous nine games.
The Cincinnati Reds had a fine record of late, but they'd done most of their offensive damage absent the long ball − until the fourth inning against the Los Angeles Dodgers on July 29.
The Reds had two homers in their last nine games entering Tuesday's game against the Dodgers. That's when Jake Fraley and Noelvi Marte teed off on Dodgers' starter Tyler Glasnow.
Fraley launched a 405-foot, two-run blast into the right field moon deck at Great American Ball Park. It was Fraley's sixth homer of the year and tied the contest at two.
Two batters later, Reds thrid baseman Noelvi Marte hit his seventh homer of the year 350 feet, and put Cincinnati in front at 3-2.
So, to summarize, Cincinnati in one inning equaled its home run output from the previous nine games. That's quite a power surge given how the Reds have scored lately.
