Columbus Academy's Reinaldo Perez is the fans' choice for the top high school football junior in central Ohio.
Perez is a 6-foot-5, 250-pound offensive tackle and defensive lineman who owns 20 Division I college offers, including from Ohio State and Ohio University. He finished first in a poll that accompanied The Dispatch's look at the top 25 juniors in the Columbus area entering the 2025 season.
The top-ranked junior in central Ohio per both 247Sports and Rivals, Perez made 67 tackles with 10 for loss and eight sacks and earned second-team all-district in Division V last season. He also helped pave the way for 2,819 rushing yards and 1,237 passing yards as the Vikings went 10-2.
Perez received 10,458 of 33,607 votes (31.1%), finishing ahead of Harvest Prep quarterback Collin Boff (8,229 votes; 24.5%) and Olentangy Liberty offensive lineman Ed Nichols (5,433 votes; 16.2%).
Academy's Gabe Davis-Ray won the fan vote for the top senior in central Ohio entering the season.
