Former Bayern Munich icon Thomas Müller is working on his fitness on the Bundesliga champions' training ground, the Bild newspaper said.

Müller was photographed by Bild reporters on Wednesday morning at Bayern's Säbener Straße headquarters wearing an orange training jersey.

After running a few laps, he completed passing and coordination exercises with Bayern's rehab coach Simon Martinello. The midfielder finished his individual session after around 45 minutes.

Müller left Bayern this summer after 25 years of service, having failed to receive a new contract from the German record champions.

Bild said that Bayern have given Müller permission to keep fit at their training site ahead of an expected move to North America's Major League Soccer.

According to recent reports, he is set to sign with MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps on Friday, and he could make his first appearance for the Whitcaps on August 10 against the San José Earthquakes.
