The Indiana Fever did not get much resistance from a shorthanded Chicago Sky side in Sunday’s rivalry showdown. The Sky did not have the services of Angel Reese, Ariel Atkins, Moriah Jefferson and Hailey Van Lith in this one, and their lack of personnel was evident as they suffered another blowout loss against the Fever, 93-78.

Indiana, on the other hand, was still missing the services of Caitlin Clark, who sat out for a fourth straight game due to a re-aggravated groin injury. Stepping up in her stead yet again was Kelsey Mitchell, who went off for a season-high 35 points on 12-of-19 from the floor, to go along with two rebounds, six assists and three steals. The three-time All-Star caught fire from beyond the arc as well, knocking down seven triples against the Sky.

Aliyah Boston also played a big role in the win. The former Rookie of the Year logged a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double with two steals and two blocked shots. Boston also registered another six assists en route to making WNBA history.

According to Polymarket Hoops, Boston has become the fastest center in league history to reach 100 assists in a season. The 23-year-old has emerged as one of Indiana’s top playmakers as Clark, who leads the Fever in assists with 8.8 dimes per game, continues to sit out.

Amid Clark’s four-game absence, Boston has dished out 6.8 assists per contest, and she put on another passing clinic in Sunday’s win over the Sky.

On top of that, Boston also reached 400 points, 200 rebounds and 100 assists this season, making her the fastest player to hit this mark since WNBA legend Candace Parker.

Clark has no timetable for her return yet, which suggests that she will need to miss additional time due to her groin problem. Indiana closes out the month of July with a home game against the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday, and the Fever will need Boston to keep her foot on the gas as their best player continues to watch from the sidelines.
