The Chicago Cubs are known to make big splashes when it comes to making trades, and they were no strangers to one this offseason.

Chicago traded for Houston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker, and he has been one of the best players in Major League Baseball this season.

Tucker will be a free agent at season's end, but if somehow the Cubs could bring him back, then that could leave prospects in the outfield being traded.

One Cubs prospect that probably thought he would have a role with the team by now is outfielder Owen Caissie, but with the logjam in the outfield, he hasn't gotten his chance.

There is a chance Caissie gets traded this week, and Rich Eberwein from Fansided thinks the Washington Nationals would be a good fit for him.

"Recent rumors have linked the Cubs to the Washington Nationals, who could be shopping their ace Mackenzie Gore this year. Gore is only 26-years-old with an impressive 3.52 ERA through his first 21 starts. The southpaw also has 144 strikeouts in 117.2 innings pitched, making him one of the few pitchers who could eclipse the 200 strikeout mark this year," Eberwein wrote. "Adding Gore would change the dynamic of the Cubs for the next three years, but Caissie would likely be the first of a few top prospects the Cubs would have to move to acquire the former third overall pick. Caissie could be the Nationals' right fielder of the future to play opposite of James Wood, another left-handed power hitter emerging in Washington."

If the Cubs can add a pitcher like Gore, then they should not think twice about trading away Caissie because he could be the piece that could bring them to the World Series.
