An up-and-coming member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is expected to play a leading role in the club’s first-choice XI this coming season.
That’s according to Marca, who point towards Arda Güler as the player in question.
Youngster Güler is for his part of course fresh off another somewhat frustrating campaign in Spain’s capital in 2024/25.
Struggling to convince then-manager Carlo Ancelotti of his readiness to be a starter, the Turkish international was limited to 14 La Liga appearances from the off.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then Güler can look forward to an altogether more prominent role next time out.
As per a report from Marca, owing chiefly to the level of his performances at this summer’s Club World Cup:
‘Arda Güler is preparing for a crucial season. Real Madrid are entering a new era with Xabi Alonso at the helm, and the young Turk is poised to be one of the key players.
