Valencia: why is the Cheikh Niasse deal dragging on?

Valencia CF are looking to bolster their midfield and have set their sights on Cheikh Niasse, the Senegalese defensive midfielder from Hellas Verona. But the deal is proving to be complicated.

The Spanish club wants to bring in the player on a loan deal with an option to buy, a move considered more financially viable. However, on the Italian side, Verona’s management is firmly rejecting this proposal. They are insisting on a permanent transfer and, for now, are not considering any temporary exit for their 24-year-old midfielder.
