The Major League Baseball trade deadline is approaching, and on July 31st, the world of baseball is going to look a lot different.

Teams will have either bought or sold players, and it will be known who is going all in to win the 2025 World Series or is looking forward to next season.

One team that is looking to win it all this season is the Chicago Cubs, and they should be big-time buyers at the deadline.

The Cubs could use more pitching help, either another starter or out of the bullpen, and one team that could make a trade with them is the Minnesota Twins.

The Twins have one of the best closers in the MLB in Jhoan Duran, who has 74 saves over the last three and a half seasons.

If the Cubs are willing to trade for Duran, then they will likely have to move on from their No. 1 prospect, Owen Caissie. And Rich Eberwein from Fansided thinks there could be a fit for Caissie in Minnesota.

"The Minnesota Twins have the goods that the Cubs need. Starting pitchers Joe Ryan or Pablo Lopez would make excellent frontline additions to Chicago's starting rotation, giving them a third starter along with Matthew Boyd and Shota Imanaga to lock down a playoff series," Eberwein wrote. "The Twins could also move their closer Jhoan Duran this year. Like Ryan and Lopez, Duran has several years of team control left and is a proven pitcher at the big-league level. The Twins are in a position where Caissie could immediately help them on the major league roster with a power drought in their lineup and a hole in the corner outfield depth."

Parting ways with No. 1 prospect is something a team never likes to do, but if a player like Duran comes back in a trade, then the team has to make the deal.
