The Kansas City Chiefs are gearing up to avenge last season's Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles by getting back to the big game and finishing the job. While they are still months away from Feb. 8, 2026, the day of Super Bowl LX, the focus is on now.
The Chiefs kicked off training camp Tuesday and will continue through Aug. 13. On Sunday, the team came out in pads for the first time, and rookie defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott was seen limping early in practice. He remained on the field, pacing around but later tried to rejoin the group and couldn't.
He went down on the very first rep of 11-on-11 and needed medical attention from a trainer.

After spending time with the trainer in the medical tent, Norman-Lott returned to the field for the second team period with the second-team defense. Fortunately for the 23-year-old, it was just a scare.

This comes just one day after Norman-Lott spoke to the media about what to expect ahead of his first padded practice.
“Probably just the level of physicality. I mean, we are kind of already moving,” Norman-Lott said. "We all play a position where we are in contact and engaged every play. So, it kind of doesn’t really make a difference, but it gets more physical.”
The 6-foot-33, 315-pounder was drafted in the second round (No. 63) by the Chiefs back in April after playing his college football for the Arizona State Sun Devils before transferring to join the Tennessee Volunteers.
Norman-Lott is expected to see playing time this year, and it's worth noting he has received several first-team reps so far in training camp.
"It's an honor, I've just got to use them the right way," he said when asked about the opportunity. "I'm just working on not messing up and playing hard."
