Fitzpatrick is pushing for a new contract considering he’s out of guaranteed money on his existing deal, which pays him $15.5M this season.
Despite the push for a new contract with Rosenhaus, Fitzpatrick has been an active participant in all four days of Dolphins training camp so far, but he has not spoken to the media.
Of the players who have spoken with the media during the Dolphins' first week of practices, head coach Mike McDaniel, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, and cornerback Kader Kohou have all been complimentary of the safeties' work ethic and leadership since he arrived in Miami.
Fitzpatrick put an exclamation mark on that with the first interception of Dolphins camp on Saturday morning.

Fitzpatrick isn't the only Dolphin represented by Rosenhaus or looking for a new contract this offseason. Rosenhaus is also defensive end Zach Sieler's agent, and the Dolphins' 2024 team MVP is looking for a new contract following back-to-back 10-sack seasons.
Along with adding a client in Fitzpatrick, Rosenhaus also struck another deal on Saturday. The Minnesota Vikings reached an agreement on a three-year, $36 million contract extension with safety Josh Metellus, who's represented by Rosenhaus. Metellus' deal includes $25 million guaranteed and can reach a maximum worth of $42 million.
There's no timetable on whether Fitzpatrick or Sieler will get new contracts worked out with the Dolphins, but now they'll both be represented by Rosenhaus, who's already been busy this training camp.
