This season, the focus has returned squarely to Michigan's air raid attack with Bryce Underwood expected to lead a talented but unproven group of wide receivers onto the field in Ann Arbor.
One of them is former Indiana Hoosier Donaven McCulley, who has the talent to become a big play threat this season and drew comparisons to an NFL star from Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore.
"Yeah, first off, big, tall, strong, fast, explosive, big-play ability," Moore said of McCulley.
"He gives you what we kind of got with Nico (Collins). And Nico, that 2020 year, we thought was going to take off even more. That's what he reminds you," Moore said at Big Ten Media Days.
"Now, we've got to put in the work to see what he's going to do. But, in the spring, he flashed more often than not for being a big play receiver. So, we're excited to see what he does. And in the locker room, he's been great."
McCulley stands six-feet, five inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He's given the Wolverines trouble in the past as a member of the Hoosiers.
Soon, Michigan and coach Moore will have a chance to see what he can do up close in familiar maize and blue colors on game days at the Big House.
