EA released the 99 overall club in Madden 26. Who features in this year's edition?

Madden 26 has released the members of the 99 overall club and there is a completely new list of players compared to EA Sports' NFL offering from a year ago, Madden 25.

This exclusive group is a snapshot of who are the best players in the NFL entering the season. Here's a look at each of the players who have reached a level of video game immortality:

Saquon Barkley

Headlining the list is the Madden 26 cover athlete Saquon Barkley. The Philadelphia Eagles star was announced the Madden 26 cover athlete back in June with him recreating his iconic backwards hurdle against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is the only running back in the 99 club this year and the first one since Christian McCaffery in Madden 25.

Josh Allen

Other notable players include the 2024 NFL MVP Josh Allen. The quarterback helped his Buffalo Bills to a 13-4 record and finished with 3731 passing yards, 40 total touchdowns and six interceptions. The Bills lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC championship game.

Lane Johnson

Barkley's teammate, two-time Super Bowl champion Lane Johnson, is also rated 99 overall in Madden 26. The Eagles right tackle was drafted fourth overall in the 2013 NFL draft and his star-studded play has been prominent throughout his career. He is a six-time Pro Bowler, five-time All-Pro and now a member of the 99 club.

Jamarr Chase

Jamarr Chase is coming off his best season in the NFL after capturing the triple crown at the wide receiver position. He led the league in receptions (127), receiving yards (1,708) and receiving touchdowns (17). Chase earned his first All-Pro first team honors last season.

Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson is a two-time MVP and now is officially a 99 overall in the Madden franchise. The Boynton Beach native is coming off his best statistical passing season so far in his NFL career. Coming off career highs in passing yards (4,172), passing touchdowns (41), and he led the league with 8.8 yards gained per pass attempt. Jackson finished second in MVP behind Allen and was named All-Pro first team. The Baltimore Ravens once again look like a contender for the Super Bowl and Jackson stands at the front of the team.

Justin Jefferson

Justin Jefferson has been a juggernaut in the NFL ever since he joined in 2020. He has had five consecutive 1,000-yard seasons as well as four of the five being over 1,400 yards. Jefferson is a two-time All-Pro first team member as well as winning Offensive Player of the Year in 2022. He joins the 99 overall club for the first time since Madden 24.

Myles Garrett

Myles Garrett joins the 99 overall club for the second time in his career. The Cleveland Browns standout edge rusher is coming off another great season leading the league with 22 TFLs and accumulating 14 sacks as well. The 29-year-old out of Texas A&M won a Defensive Player of the Year in 2023 and is solidifying himself as one of the best pass rushers the NFL has seen.

How much is Madden 26?

The Standard Edition of Madden 26 will cost $69.99. The Deluxe Edition costs $99.99, and the MVP Bundle, which includes the Deluxe Edition of both College Football 26 and Madden NFL 26, is $149.99. You can preorder one of the deluxe or MVP editions to play Madden 26 on Aug. 11.

What is the difference between the video game editions?

When you pre order the deluxe edition or MVP Bundle of Madden 26, you receive more in-game bonus features than those who purchase the standard edition. You also can access the game three days early than all players who did not buy the game or did not pre-order the deluxe or MVP edition. Here is a look at the different benefits of each edition:

Standard Edition: Base game. No special bonus features

Deluxe Edition: Three days early access (Aug. 11-14), 4600 Madden points, early access solo challenges (Aug. 11-14), cover athlete elite player item, superstar legendary XP boost, franchise coach ability points and player card exclusive item. You also can receive a Season 1 elite player item if you pre-order by July 24.

MVP Bundle: Receive all the deluxe edition bonuses and a copy of the deluxe edition of College Football 26.
