The world’s top golfer continues to dominate after winning his second major championship of the season. At Royal Portrush, Scottie Scheffler surged through the weekend to capture the third of four titles needed for the Career Grand Slam. He only needs a U.S. Open title to join the elite group.
Now, Scheffler is preparing for the remaining events on the calendar, including the TOUR Championship and the Ryder Cup. When he’s not on the course or spending time with family, he’s making appearances across the media landscape.
On Friday, Scheffler joined the crew from "Pardon My Take" and talked about his favorite NFL team. As a University of Texas alum living in Dallas, it's no surprise he’s a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
When asked whether he would trade one or even multiple major championships for a Cowboys Super Bowl win, Scheffler didn’t hesitate. His response was direct and passionate, showing where his love stands.
"I would trade one, for sure, for a Super Bowl," the Texas native answered.

Dallas hasn't won a Super Bowl since 1996. Scheffler was born in June of that same year, meaning he’s never witnessed his team win it all. The Cowboys enter the 2025 season with new head coach Brian Schottenheimer at the helm.
The Cowboys kick off the 2025 NFL season on September 4 against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. Their home opener is set for September 14 against the New York Giants.
Scheffler, on the other hand, is no stranger to championships. He’s held the No. 1 world ranking since March 2022, owns 17 PGA Tour wins, and has four major championships. With his first win at the Open Championship, Scheffler joined Tiger Woods as the only players to win the event while ranked No. 1 in the world.
Scheffler lifted the Claret Jug on July 20, 2025, at the 153rd Open Championship in Portrush, Ireland.
When the U.S. Open returns in 2026, all eyes will be on Scheffler as it’s the only major he hasn’t yet won. He also claimed the FedEx Cup last season and will begin this year ranked No. 1 as he aims for back-to-back titles.
