Louisville Bats infielder Sal Stewart ranks No. 2 among MLB Pipeline's top Reds' prospects and 40th in MLB.
Louisville Bats infielder Sal Stewart doesn't turn 22 years old until December. But he's already got Cincinnati Reds fans dreaming about when he'll reach the big-league level because of nights like July 26.
Stewart, who ranks No. 2 among MLB Pipeline's top Reds' prospects and 40th in MLB, was 4-for-4 with two home runs and a double in an 11-9 loss to the Iowa Cubs.
The effort raised Stewart's batting average to .281 in 32 plate appearances over eight games since he was promoted from Double-A Chattanooga to Triple-A Louisville.
Stewart and catcher Alfredo Duno were the two Reds' minor-leaguers named to the 2025 MLB All-Star Futures Game.
The Reds selected Stewart in the first round of the 2022 MLB draft. Defensively, he has split time between second and third base.
