It did not take a formal announcement for this one to feel inevitable.
Jayvon McFadden, a former four star offensive lineman and cousin of Jordan Seaton, has transferred from the Ohio State Buckeyes to the Colorado Buffaloes, continuing his career under head coach Deion Sanders.
McFadden arrived in Columbus with momentum. He enrolled early, participated in spring workouts, and carried long term upside. But college football moves quickly, and clarity can arrive faster than certainty.
“Lost some. Gained clarity,” McFadden wrote in an Instagram comment as he entered the transfer portal.

Soon after, a Colorado themed commitment graphic appeared on McFadden’s social media. No caption. No explanation. Just direction.
Colorado has made rebuilding the offensive line a priority, blending portal experience with young pieces it can develop. McFadden fits that vision. He brings size, movement, and four full years of eligibility into a room still taking shape.

For McFadden, the move represents a reset grounded in familiarity. For Colorado, it is another quiet step toward continuity.
