SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Augustana Hockey has been dominant this season at home with an 11-1-3 mark inside Midco Arena following a weekend sweep of Ferris State.

The Vikings won 4-0 on Friday and then pulled out a 4-3 overtime win Saturday night. The Vikes jumped out to quick starts both nights by scoring three goals in each of the first periods. The defense held steady on Friday as Josh Kotai picked up his third straight shutout. However, Augie saw its big cushion slip away on Saturday before Easton Young netted the game winner in OT.

“It’s good when you can win,” Augustana head coach Garrett Raboin said. “Like we’ve said before, when you can learn some lessons and win, because we’re going to be able identify some things that we we got to tighten up as we get ready for Mankato.”

The Vikings head to Minnesota State for one game this Saturday.
