A world-class star is finally coming back to Liverpool.
Let's face it, even though this season still has a long way to go it already feels like a campaign that has ended for the Reds. There's not much left to play for in the Premier League, apart from saving Liverpool from the absolute embarrassment of missing out on Champions League football.
Of course, miracles can still happen. Liverpool have it in them to win the Champions League on paper. They can also go far in the FA Cup.
But based on the performances, the Reds aren't exactly showing signs that they are capable of doing this under Arne Slot.
Something needs to change, and something needs to change quickly.
Thankfully, there is an important player returning to the club who could help them salvage something from what is left from now until the end of the season.
Lots of people have probably forgotten because of the way he left for the African Cup of Nations but Mohamed Salah is still very much a Liverpool player.
He's also still one of the best players in the world, who played a crucial role in guiding Egypt to the AFCON semi-finals. Salah is simply world-class and now at last he is going to be returning to Anfield.
A lot of the fans thought Salah may even be able to feature in the Burnley game when Senegal eliminated Egypt in the semi-finals.
However, Egypt had to play a game for third-place against Nigerian, a game which they lost to the Super Eagles, meaning Salah will be coming back to Liverpool doubly disappointed.
It's a shame things had to end in such a way for Salah at the tournament but he did everything to make sure his country did as much as possible.
Salah scored four goals and registered two assists in six games at the tournament. He was simply phenomenal.
Now he's coming back with probably renewed hunger and even more determination to win trophies and succeed after not being able to do it with Egypt.
That hunger is probably what Liverpool are missing right now.
It could also be the key to galvanising this team and getting them to go on a fantastic run and giving themselves a chance to lift the Champions League trophy.
Let's be honest here, Salah is still a player who should be starting week in, week out for Liverpool. He's still one of the best players in the world and he could still be a very key player in this new system under Slot.
The prospect of him linking up with Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz in the form that they are now in, it's simply mouthwatering.
So, it's so exciting to finally have Salah back and to see him go into a side where Ekitike and Wirtz are clicking into gear.
