Lyon and Roma have made enquiries about Axel Disasi over a possible January move according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
Disasi failed to secure a move away last summer, and has been part of the infamous “bomb” squad along with Raheem Sterling.
The Frenchman hasn’t played since last season, although he has turned out for Chelsea’s development side in an attempt to get some match fitness.
Lyon and Roma interested in Axel Disasi
Disasi reportedly turned down a number of loan moves on deadline day last summer, and both he and Chelsea will be hoping for a solution this month.
There were reports Disasi had been offered to Barcelona, but so far the Spanish Champions haven’t come forward with an offer.
Disasi has attracted interest from a number of clubs.
Liam Rosenior confirmed he would have a conversation with Disasi, but it’s clear his Chelsea career is over, and Jacobs has provided an update.
Speaking during a Space on X.com he said:
“You have Axel Disasi, a centre-back at Chelsea, who is available, and Saudi clubs plus Roma and Lyon have made enquiries.
“Raheem Sterling as well, but I’m told he doesn’t want to move to Saudi Arabia or MLS.”
Disasi joined Chelsea for around £38.5m from Monaco in the summer of 2023, and had a very good season under Mauricio Pochettino, but it became evident very quickly he wasn’t going to be part of former head coach Enzo Maresca’s plans.
Chelsea want to sign Jeremy Jacquet
Whilst the Blues are looking to offload the former Monaco man, they are also looking to bring in a new centre back before the end of the window.

Chelsea have identified Rennes centre back Jeremy Jacquet as their main target, and are believed to be in negotiations over a move.
Rennes are said to want €65m for the 20-year-old, but it’s believed the Blues don’t want to pay that much, whilst Jacquet has given his green light for the move to Stamford Bridge.
