Lucas Paqueta is expected to be cleared of spot-fixing allegations following a lengthy investigation by the Football Association, according to the Times.
The West Ham United midfielder faced four charges of breaching FA betting regulations, as well as two additional counts of failing to cooperate with the investigation.
The case centred around yellow cards he received in four Premier League matches, with suspicions that individuals in Brazil had profited from bets placed on him to be booked.
The fixtures in question took place against Leicester City, Aston Villa, Leeds United and Bournemouth, spanning the end of 2022 into the beginning of the 2023-24 season.
Although Paqueta was never accused of placing bets himself, the FA alleged that he intentionally sought bookings to facilitate betting wins for others, including possible friends or family members.
The Brazilian was initially charged in May, nearly nine months after the investigation was launched. He vehemently denied the allegations.

Following the conclusion of an independent regulatory hearing, the 26-year-old is reportedly set to be exonerated.
A formal announcement confirming the verdict is expected to be made next week. The FA could also be liable to cover Paqueta’s legal expenses, which are reported to be close to £1 million.
The outcome could mark the end of a difficult period for the midfielder, whose proposed move to Manchester City last summer collapsed shortly after the betting probe came to light.
Paqueta remained at West Ham under a cloud of uncertainty and was unable to consistently replicate his best form.
With the charges now set to be dropped, he can look ahead to a fresh start under manager Graham Potter.
It is unclear whether City or any other top club will renew their interest in the Brazil international, now that the case appears to be closed.
