Kyle Tucker has signed a four-year, $240 million contract with the Dodgers. That’s $60 million a year, which seems almost insane to me.
The rumour was the the Jays offered a long term contract, but I’m sure not at $60 million per year. That would be a hard number to turn down.
Such is life I guess. He would have fit in well with the Jays. But then he would fit in well with any team.
I don’t know if that will cause the Jays to turn their sights on Bo Bichette, or if they will be happy with what they have. I would have been nice to have Tucker on the Jays. But then, I’m ok with then not out bidding $60 million.
