The acquisition of Cole Anthony was a smart move by the Milwaukee Bucks' front office. With his athleticism and ability to put pressure on the rim, there's an expectation that he'll do a lot for the Bucks as a reserve guard. On Tuesday, the organization officially announced Anthony as part of the roster for the 2025-26 NBA season.

In his five-year run with the Orlando Magic, Anthony always had the crowd on their feet. He was mostly a sixth man for the Magic since his third season. Although he can command an offense as a starter, the energy he brings off the bench is something that brings value to the team.

On Wednesday, Johnson talked about Anthony's addition to the Bucks on the latest episode of "Hear District." According to him, he sees a lot of potential between the new guard, Myles Turner and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

"He and Myles Turner and Giannis [Antetokounmpo] on the floor at the same time, those three -- I see some potential there," Johnson said.

"You're almost encouraging a guy like Cole Anthony to press up. And if a guy gets by you, we got Myles back there, we got Giannis back there."

While Anthony isn't always the best on-ball defender, he can still stay in front of the player he's guarding. Also, when a fastbreak opportunity comes on a defensive stop, he can lead the Bucks with how well he plays on the open floor.

Johnson is excited to see how Anthony can play alongside Antetokounmpo and Turner next season.
