As the Astros continue to suffer from injuries, one notable bat could help their issue.
The Houston Astros are somehow still in first place in the American League West.
Despite having the most players on the injured list in the entire major league, the Space City team still leads the Seattle Mariners by five games.
And with Silver Slugger Yordan Alvarez having been out for most of the 2025 season and now third baseman Isaac Paredes out for the time being with a hamstring injury, the Astros are in dire need of power in their lineup.
According to Kenneth Teape from Houston Astros On SI, the answer could lie in Baltimore with designated hitter Ryan O'Hearn, who started the All-Star Game for the AL in that position.
"O’Hearn is in the midst of a career campaign, setting himself up nicely for a sizable pay day in free agency this upcoming free agency," Teape wrote. "In need of a left-handed bat, he is the perfect trade target for the Astros because he would fill that need and help balance out their lineup. On top of that, his addition would help fill other needs because of the versatility that he would open up for manager Joe Espada."
O'Hearn is currently batting .281 with 12 home runs and 37 runs batted in in 89 games played.
