A rare shot clock violation spelled disaster for Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links Golf Club in its season debut.
PALM BEACH GARDENS — A rare shot clock violation spelled disaster for Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links Golf Club in its season debut.
Rickie Fowler's New York Golf Club rallied from an early deficit to beat Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links 8-3 on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at the SoFi Center on the campus of Palm Beach State College.
Jupiter Links, which rostered Max Homa, Kevin Kisner and TGL rookie Akshay Bhatia, jumped out to a 3-1 lead through the first four holes.
On hole No. 5, Kisner was penalized for a shot clock violation after he failed to hit his putt before the buzzer. It was only the second shot clock violation in TGL history.
The penalty turned a potential tied hole into a win for New York, who took control by winning four of the final five holes of triples play.
New York Golf Club, which rostered Fowler, Matt Fitzpatrick and Cameron Young, held steady through the singles play, grabbing a win by Fitzpatrick and clinching with a two-point "Hammer" hole by Fowler.
Woods, who did not play Tuesday night as he continues recovery from an injury-riddled 2025, was ever-present on the ESPN broadcast. He threw the "Hammer" for Jupiter Links on the night's opening hole and was a fixture of live commentary throughout the night.
