Federico Chiesa seemed surprised when Arne Slot replaced him at minute 60 in an FA Cup game against Barnsley on Monday, prompting Italian media to suggest that the Italian would gladly return to Juventus.
Liverpool winger Chiesa has emerged as one of the Juventus targets for the January window, and according to reports in Italy, the former Bianconeri star has already discussed a possible return to the club with some of his ex-teammates.

Chiesa made a rare Liverpool start in an FA Cup against Barnsley at Anfield on Monday, but was subbed off after 60 minutes.
As reported by Tuttosport, Chiesa appeared surprised by Arne Slot’s decision.

At first, the Liverpool coach seemed to be giving instructions to the Italian winger, but then Chiea’sNo.14 appeared on the electronic board, meaning his time on the pitch was up.
Juventus ready to send opening offer for Chiesa

The Italian winger returned to the bench with a bitter smile on his face, although he didn’t complain to Slot publicly.
Juventus are expected to send an opening offer for Chiesa in the coming hours, proposing a loan deal with a performance-related obligation to buy.
According to several sources, Chiesa is eager to return to Juventus to get more playing time, given that, quite clearly, he’s not among Slot’s favourite options for the Liverpool attack.
