Cadillac, Formula 1's newest team, will appear at Barcelona's pre-season shakedown sporting a monochrome livery.

Cadillac is joining F1 as an 11th expansion team in 2026, fielding cars for returning F1 veterans and race winners Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez.

The Graeme Lowdon-led team, which operates out of bases in Silverstone and the US, has revealed its first-ever F1 livery - a temporary colour scheme that will be used at Barcelona's F1 shakedown at the end of January.

The one-off Barcelona livery, which was presented by General Motors CEO Mark Reuss at its Detroit headquarters, consists of a sleek and stealthy monochrome colour scheme, featuring black and silver. Reuss admitted the low-key design was part of F1's pre-season tradition of disguising its aerodynamic shapes as much as possible.

The design features Cadillac's crest and has also incorporated the names of the team's founding members across the UK and US on the nosecone.

“Our new testing livery celebrates Detroit’s design heritage and the power of the global Cadillac Formula 1 team, while keeping our design secrets under wraps,” said Reuss. "The Barcelona test is just the beginning — we can’t wait to share our official race livery with fans around the world next month.”

Cadillac's definitive 2026 race livery will be unveiled on 8 February during a high-profile, half-time Superbowl ad, ahead of the official start of pre-season testing in Bahrain.

"Debuting our race livery during a globally televised championship broadcast challenges convention and brings Cadillac Formula 1 to a global audience," said Cadillac F1 CEO Dan Towriss. "Paired with this special-edition testing livery designed by the GM Design studios, we’re honoring automotive heritage while looking ahead as we build toward the 2026 season."

Earlier this month, Cadillac announced former Sauber racer Zhou Guanyu will perform reserve driver duties in 2026, while former IndyCar star Colton Herta will compete in F2 in preparation of a potential F1 future with the squad.
