Vote for the Hometeam Boys' Basketball Player of the Week, presented by the YMCA of Central Massachusetts

Tommy Cassell found some of the top performances for readers to vote on to decide the Hometeam Boys' Basketball Player of the Week.

These athletes were selected as a Hometeam Central Mass. Athlete of the Week in their respective sports, presented by the YMCA.

There were plenty of tremendous performances last week in Central Mass. boys' basketball, and Tommy Cassell found some of the best of them for readers to vote on to decide the Hometeam Boys' Basketball Player of the Week.

Congratulations to Tahanto's Anthony Pasquale for taking the top spot in last week's poll of more than 28,000 votes. Pasquale recorded 13,499 votes (47.3 percent) to top David Prouty's Jayden Rubio (11,114 votes) and Northbridge's Anthony Becerrill (2,192 votes) for the honor.

Kenny Arpin, Bartlett 

Arpin netted 23 points on five 3-pointers as the visiting Indians defeated BMR. 68-56, before Arpin scored a game-high 22 points in a 68-58 victory over Southbridge.

Dante Baither, Bancroft 

Baither banked home 21 points, by hitting six of eight 3-point attempts, and dished out 7 assists in his team’s beatdown of Wilbraham & Monson. 

Anthony Baum, Assabet 

Baum led all scorers with 24 points to lift the visiting Aztecs to a 49-39 victory over Main South. 

T.J. Bradford, Tyngsborough 

Bradford buoyed his team to a 54-33 defeat of Littleton by pouring in a game-high 26 points. 

J.J. Douglas, Hopedale 

Douglas delivered 22 points to propel the Blue Raiders to a big 65-38 victory over Nipmuc. 

Jackson Dunton, Blackstone-Millville 

Dunton delivered 23 points, with four 3-pointers, as the visiting Chargers charged past Oxford. 

Storm Ellison, Westborough 

Ellison stormed his way 22 points as the host Rangers beat Marlborough, 76-40. 

Will Erickson, Gardner 

This freshman netted 23 points to pace the visiting Wildcats to a win over West Boylston, scored 21 points in a victory over Ayer-Shirley and then poured in a career-high 35 points in a loss to Nantucket. 

Dom Fratto, Nashoba 

Fratto finished with 20 points to lift the visiting Wolves to a 55-45 win over Oakmont and then he scored a game-high 15 in his team’s 58-43 shutdown of Shepherd Hill.  

Tyreese Green, Fitchburg 

Green amassed 23 points to help the visiting Red Raiders garner a 60-51 victory over Grafton and then scored 15 points in his team’s win over Algonquin.  

Maxim Kauffman, Narragansett 

This senior captain collected 25 points, while his cousin and co-captain Brayden Richards scored 20 points, in the Warriors’ 67-39 win over Bromfield. Kauffman then put up 24 points in a 53-50 victory over Ayer-Shirley.

Andrew Karaban, Hudson 

Karaban scored 18 points in his team’s win over Clinton before collecting 21 points in a victory over Maynard. 

Kaiwan Kimble, Marlborough

This sophomore secured five 3-pointers (and 18 total field goals) en route to a whopping 44 points in the Panthers’ 74-65 win over Bay Path.

Nolan Lyle, North Middlesex 

Lyle lifted the visiting Patriots to a 80-66 victory over Marlborough by hitting four 3-pointers and finishing with 24 points. 

Braidan Morais, Bethany Christian 

This senior nailed three treys on his way to 24 points to lift the host Eagles to a 62-32 victory over South Shore Charter, poured in 36 points in an 83-46 win over North Brookfield before Morais collected 30 points in a 52-40 defeat of South Lancaster.

Ryan Nikiforow, Millbury

This sophomore forward finished with 22 points to push the host Woolies to a 56-39 win over Burncoat.

Jayden Ogando, Clinton

Ogando scored 25 points to lift the visiting Gaels to a 58-45 victory over Maynard.

Nolan Remington, Oxford 

This senior scored 23 points and recorded 16 rebounds as the Pirates (3-4, 1-0 CMAC D) held off the visitors from BVT for a 56-54 victory and then scored 18 points in a loss to BMR. 

Hiram Rosa, Clinton 

Rosa recorded 14 of his 22 points in the second half as the visiting Gaels edged Quabbin, 64-55. 

Ryan Roy, North Brookfield 

Roy finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 blocks to propel the Indians to their first win of the season, a 63-57 defeat of South Lancaster. 

Jayden Rubio, David Prouty 

This junior continued his torrid start to the season by amassing 30 points (while teammte Fred Neiray added 27) to lift the host Panthers to a win over Worcester Tech. 

Garnet Torres, South 

Torres tallied 23 points as the visiting Colonels beat Burncoat, 64-61, before the guard finished with 31 points in a 73-46 victory over Leominster.
