Mike McCarthy will interview for the Giants’ head coach vacancy on Tuesday

The Giants will interview Mike McCarthy Tuesday, if they still have an opening

Former Dallas Cowboys calls a play against the Washington Commanders

The New York Giants will interview former Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy on Tuesday.

That report comes from NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero.

It had been previously reported that the McCarthy would interview some time during the week of the 11th, but the exact day hadn’t been known. Pelissero is reporting that McCarthy is looking for the right situation, which would lead to “winning big” as soon as possible. He also adds that McCarthy is scheduled to interview with the Tennessee Titans and could emerge as a candidate for the Miami Dolphins coaching vacancy.

It’s somewhat interesting that the interview is scheduled for Tuesday, considering we’re all waiting for John Harbaugh’s interviews to be scheduled. Scheduling McCarthy’s interview for Tuesday keeps Monday open for a potential interview with Harbaugh.

It was also reported this weekend that the Giants held a virtual interview with Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak on Friday.
