FC Bayern might want to get Yan Diomande to back up Luis Díaz.
According to a report from Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich might already know who it wants to fill the void on the roster as the back-up left winger — RB Leipzig youngster Yan Diomande:
Max Eberl and Bayern’s management are convinced of RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande. The Ivorian is at the top of Bayern’s list in their search for a left winger to provide competition for Luis Díaz. Said El Mala is still on the club’s list. Meanwhile, Lyon’s Malick Fofana is no longer a concrete target for Bayern.
Diomande is just 19-years-old and is currently on AFCON duty with Cote d’Ivoire.
One footnote to this story is that Diomande has scored all six of his goals and registered all three of his assists at right wing for Die Roten Bullen this season. In six appearances at left wing, Diomande has no goals or assists per Transfermarkt.
Against Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga opener, Diomande registered 45 minutes in a 6-0 defeat.
