Auburn’s Singleton declares for NFL Draft

In his lone season on the Plains, he hauled in 58 catches for 534 yards and three touchdowns. He finishes his college career with 2,002 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns.

AUBURN, Ala. (WHNT) — Auburn’s Eric Singleton Jr. has declared for the NFL Draft, the wide reciever annouced Thursday.

In a social media post, Singleton thanked both Georgia Tech and Auburn for both school’s role in his college career.

He played two seasons for the Yellow Jackets before transferring to Auburn this offseason.

Here is the statement Singleton released to announce the move:

“I am grateful for every opportunity and relationship that has shaped my college football career, and I do not take for granted the experiences, challenges, and people who have played a role in getting me to this point. Thank you to Georgia Tech for providing my first opportunity to compete at this level and for the coaches and teammates who contributed to my early development.

Thank you to Auburn University for welcoming me and allowing me to continue to pursue my goals. Representing Auburn was an honor, and I’m especially appreciative of the trust, support, and standard upheld by the coaching staff, teammates, and support personnel. I would also like to thank the athletic trainers, academic staff, and support teams at both institutions for their professionalism and commitment

“Most importantly, thank you to my family for their continued support throughout this process. Your sacrifices, belief, and encouragement carried me through every transition, challenge, and moment of uncertainty. I am deeply grateful for the foundation you provided and for always standing by me as I pursued this dream. With appreciation for the journey and focus on what’s ahead, I am declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft.”

With the news of his intent to head to the draft, Auburn will be looking to rebuild its wide receiver room after several losses to the transfer portal.
