Barcelona are reportedly set to clinch the signing of young Egypt star Hamza Abdelkarim from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahly.
The two clubs have been in negotiations for a little while now, with the teenager believed to be pushing for a dream move to Camp Nou.
According to the latest from Egypt and Spain, Barca are now on the verge of completing a deal after reaching a breakthrough in negotiations.
Barcelona are expected to sign the youngster on loan for the rest of the season, with the transfer including a purchase option of around €1.5 million.
The transfer also includes various performance-based bonuses which could reach as much as €5m.
Abdelkarim is expected to link up with Barcelona Atletic and provide Juliano Belletti’s side with a boost for the second half of the season.
Barca Atletic have been beset by injuries to key players so far this season, although striker Oscar Gistau is expected to return to training shortly.
