Former Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III celebrated Texas' Citrus Bowl win with Arch Manning delivering a breakout performance.

Following the Longhorns’ 41-27 victory over Michigan, Griffin took to social media to fire off his thoughts. “Arch Manning haters are real quiet," he wrote on X. Many who watched the sophomore quarterback dominate on the national stage felt the same way.

Manning turned in one of the strongest performances of his young career, completing 21-of-34 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns without an interception.

The former five-star passer also showcased his athleticism as a dual-threat, rushing for 155 yards and two more scores. His night was capped off with a 60-yard touchdown run with 5:06 remaining that put the game away.

A strong finish to Manning’s first season as a full-time starter. After entering 2025 as a preseason Heisman favorite, Manning struggled early against Power Four competition, throwing four touchdowns and three interceptions in Texas’ first four games against top opponents. He rebounded over the final stretch, tossing 14 touchdown passes with just two interceptions in his last six games.

Texas finished 10-3 after starting the season 4-2, winning seven of its final eight games and collecting four ranked victories.

Manning has already confirmed he will return to Austin in 2026, saying his focus remains on continued development. Steve Sarkisian will help him in the process as the Longhorns try to recover. Ohio State will come to Austin next year in another projected top five matchup in Week 2.
