On Monday, Hall-of-Fame NFL defender and former NFL head coach took to Kay Adams' podcast to share his thoughts on QB Jared Goff over 40 days ahead of Detroit's regular season opener.
Former 49ers head coach Mike Singletary was asked for his impressions on Goff beginning with his rookie season in 2016.
"When I saw Jared Goff as a rookie, the one thing that he's always had is work ethic," Singletary said.
"He has a, 'I'm going to take my lunch pail with me every day, I'm working, he's a hard worker, he doesn't say a whole lot,'" Singletary added to Adams on the Up & Adams podcast.
"To me, he's a coach's dream as a quarterback. He just gets after it, he just goes to work. So, when you have somebody like that it really makes a difference."

Detroit is scheduled to open the preseason on July 31, 2025 against coach Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers.
