Chelsea vs. Aston Villa, Premier League: Preferred lineup
After a week’s rest, Chelsea face a gauntlet of three matches in quick succession, starting with a top-four clash against Aston Villa and ending with a top-four clash against Manchester City: sandwiching a must-win against Bournemouth at home.
Three wins probably shouldn’t be expected, but winning the two home games probably (certainly?) should be. We’re going to need to be at our absolute best in order to do so, which means rolling with the absolute best lineups we possibly can.
For the WAGNH Community, there are no surprises in what that absolute best lineup would be for tonight’s Villa showdown. The only question was on the wing opposite Pedro Neto, where Alejandro Garnacho beats out a returning Estêvão. Otherwise, it’s the usual suspects who have established themselves as first-choice over the course of the first half of the season.
Malo Gusto (22%) and Liam Delap (17%) were the only other players in double-digits.
4-2-3-1 (83%)
Sánchez (98%) | Cucurella (97%), Chalobah (96%), Fofana (94%), James (96%) | Enzo (91%), Caicedo (98%) | Garnacho (54%), Palmer (99%), Neto (89%) | João Pedro (85%)
