It has been a busy offseason thus far for the Phoenix Suns, though they have made little noise during free agency.

The Suns began their offseason by trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for a package centered around Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and draft capital, including the pick they used to select Khaman Maluach.

Phoenix also landed Mark Williams in a trade with the Charlotte Hornets and selected Rasheer Fleming and Koby Brea along with Maluach during the draft.

While the Suns are clearly trying to retool their roster around Devin Booker with Durant in Houston and Bradley Beal with the Los Angeles Clippers after his buyout, they do have one area of weakness remaining on their roster.

That would be the point guard position and they missed out on one of the reported targets on Monday as Chris Paul signed with the Clippers.

With Paul electing to reunite with the Clippers, the Suns are still looking for a point guard to add to their roster and here are three free agents they could target.

While Westbrook is no longer the MVP caliber player that he once was, he would still be a solid addition to Phoenix’s roster.

The veteran guard revitalized his career last season with the Denver Nuggets and he would bring a great scorer and playmaker off the bench for the Suns, something they desperately need.

Malcolm Brogdon

For Brogdon, he is a great scorer and playmaker and is also a solid defender who would be a solid fit in Phoenix on a cheap contract.

Despite this, the veteran guard has dealt with a ton of injuries over the past few seasons which may make the Suns look elsewhere to upgrade their point guard position.

Ben Simmons

While Simmons can play multiple positions, he best fits as a point guard due to his incredible playmaking skills and he would also give the Suns a solid defender and inside scorer off the bench.

Of course, there have been many teams linked to the former first overall pick, including the Suns, as Simmons could still be a great addition for any team this summer.

While the Suns could target these players after missing out on Paul, they have many other options to consider for their vacancy at the point guard position.
