Erik Ezukanma was a stock up player for the Miami Dolphins in training camp Practice 1
MIAMI GARDENS — The Miami Dolphins had their first training camp practice of the 2025 season on Wednesday, July 23, at Baptist Health training complex.
Practice began indoors and continued outdoors due to rain.
Bayron Matos was transported to a hospital after sustaining an injury near the end of practice. The team said he is in stable condition. More will be reported when known.
As for practice, here are some stocks that went up and down in Day 1
Miami Dolphins training camp Day 1 stock up/stock down
Stock Up
WR Erik Ezukanma — Ezukanma had a long catch from Zach Wilson and an intermediate catch from Quinn Ewers. Ezukanma, 25, must show out this summer or he'll be off the roster in his fourth pro season. Due largely to injuries, Ezukanma has only five games and one catch in three seasons.
RB Jaylen Wright — Wright, now wearing #5, has demonstrated speed and power. Wright should be an excellent complement to starting running back De'Von Achane in his second season. Wright has continued to work on blocking and pass-catching.
Stock Down
TE Tanner Conner — Conner fumbled in Miami's first training camp practice. Conner has added strength entering his fourth season. He's been kept around because of outstanding athleticism. But he's in a competition with undrafted free agent Jalin Conyers.
CB Artie Burns — Burns was, unfortunately, injured in Miami's first practice. Burns was seen throwing a helmet and also later spotted by photographers who said he was crutches. Burns, a Miami native, was the lead candidate to back up Kader Kohou at slot. We'll follow up on the injury.
