Throughout the 2024 season, the Green Bay Packers proved to have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL, finishing fifth in total yards per game (370.8) and eighth in points per game (27.1).
Much of that success can be attributed to quarterback Jordan Love, who in just his second year as the team's full-time starter put up solid numbers, completing 268 of 425 passes for 3,389 yards, 25 touchdowns, 11 interceptions and a 96.7 passer rating in 15 starts.
Now, he faces some big expectations going into 2025, with ESPN NFL front office insider Mike Tannenbaum even making an MVP prediction during a Monday appearance on "Get Up."
"Jordan Love will win the MVP. ... Look, you take away three or four throws from last year, he was right there,” Tannenbaum said. “I love Matthew Golden. He was my favorite receiver in the draft last year, great route runner, great hands. … This team will score and score often. A little worried about the secondary, but they should be explosive on offense. This is Jordan Love’s year.”

To pick someone to win the MVP Award who hasn't so much as earned a Pro Bowl nod, is always going to be seen as a bold take, and many social media users have been quick to disagree.
"Every day on this network is a competition for who can have the most hyperbolic take," said one comment.
"Still don't understand how this guy has a job at ESPN," said another.
"Click bait sensationalism got us again, say anything to drum up attention clicks/views," a third added.
A fourth stated, "No he won’t lmao."
"My God this guy is unbelievable another awful take! I get it, ESPN only looks to make opinions for clicks, but this is hard to take," a fifth continued.
"I’m a Packers fan and this is an asinine take. Come on Mike," said another.
Of course, if Love were to win an award as prestigious as the MVP, it would certainly be hard-fought, as he and the Packers have a tough road ahead in 2025. They're tied for the fifth-hardest schedule, per CBS Sports.
