MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia men’s basketball closed out the 2025 calendar year with an 86-51 win over Mississippi Valley State on Monday night inside Hope Coliseum.
Seniors Treysen Eaglestaff and Harlan Obioha and freshman Amir Jenkins spoke to members of the media following the game.
Eaglestaff scored 20 of his game-high 23 points in the second half, being more aggressive as the Delta Devils switched to a man defense. Obioha recorded his first double-double of the season, finishing with 12 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.
Jenkins said he and fellow freshman DJ Thomas were able to come off the bench and provide a spark in the first half by keeping up the same energy as WVU’s starters.
