No, not that Samuel Jackson.
No, not Samuel L. Jackson.
But the new York Jets did sign a man named Samuel Jackson to a free agent contract on Wednesday. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the news.
This Jackson is 6-foot-5 and 325 pounds. He plays on the offensive line.
Jackson attended UCF, where he was an all-conference player as a senior in 2022.
Since then, he has played in both the UFL and the CFL.

Jackson appears to have previously signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2023, but he didn't stick.
The Jets likely have just brought Jackson in for some extra depth up front in the early days of training camp.
But their fans certainly wouldn't mind seeing him stick around. Tough to beat the name.
