School: Thousand Oaks

Year: Sophomore

Sport: Basketball

Raquel Daringer

Comment: The sophomore helped the Lancers win three of four games last week to improve to 12-1 on the season. Daringer had 12 points, six rebounds, six steals and three steals in a 69-49 win over Shalhevet on Thursday. She poured in 25 points in a 52-49 loss to Orcutt Academy on the first day of the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions on Friday. On Saturday, Daringer finished with 18 points in a 51-29 win over San Marcos and then dropped in 16 points in a 52-51 win over St. Joseph in the consolation championship game of the Gold Division to earn all-tournament honors.

School: Simi Valley

Year: Sophomore

Sport: Wrestling

Noah Yasko

Comment: The sophomore didn’t give up a point all tournament while winning three matches to capture the 215-pound title and earn Outstanding Upper Weight honors at the Joe Seay Memorial Tournament. Yasko is 7-3 on the season for the Pioneers, who finished second out of 20 teams at the meet.
